Many of us can relate to the joy of winning a carnival prize or scoring an epic piece of loot within a game.
That sense of excitement served as inspiration behind one of our newer programs, Save Point.
Last year we deployed our first Save Point – a high tech vending machine, capable of distributing all sorts of items to kids receiving care. Each machine we deliver will be stocked with toys, game codes, and fun swag items from industry partners.
For healthcare workers, these machines can be a resource to help encourage children as they progress through treatments. Our ultimate goal is to build a network of machines that will continue to dispense gifts to families, and possibly even act as prizing hubs for fun competitions.
This year, we’re happy to share our plans to place at least two more upgraded machines with hospital partners. If we’re able to reach our fundraising goals, whether at Gamers for Giving or throughout the year, we’ll be in a position to expand this initiative even further.
