Spooktacular Streamathon 2026 Wrapup

Spooktacular Streamathon 2026 is a wrap!

With November here, that’s a wrap (no, not the candy wrapper) on this year’s Spooktacular Streamathon. We hope everyone who celebrates had a happy Halloween and a super Spooktacular!

As with every streamathon we host, we wanted to take a look at everything we accomplished with our amazing community, who offered a helping hand along the way.

“I haven’t seen the kids this up and awake in days.”

That’s a quote from an appreciative mother who spoke to us during a hospital visit. That is why Gamers Outreach exists, and why we host events like Spooktacular Streamathon.

A hospital patient plays a video game on a GO Kart.

Spooktacular Streamathon is our biggest event and fundraiser of the fall. It allows our community of supporters from creators to gamers to healthcare professionals, and people at large to come together in support of bringing playtime back to children in hospitals.

This is the seventh time we’ve hosted Spooktacular, and we’re always amazed at what the community brings to this wonderful event every fall. The best part is that the more successful the event is, the happier children we get to see in hospitals around the world.

Another Satisfying Streamathon

So. After talking about all the awesome ways the community contributed, how much did we actually fundraise?

Hold for applause…

The total is coming…

After 15 amazing days, spanning three epic weekends… The 7th Annual Spooktacular Streamathon has raised over $262,000.

Spooktacular Streamathon Grand Total: $261,000+

More than a quarter million dollars will go a long way in continuing to fund our programs and initiatives. It’ll help bring more GO Karts to hospitals around the world, maintain and upgrade GO Karts for more hospitals that need them, add more prizes, and further support and grow the infrastructure for our Save Point Machines.

Teamwork Makes The Dream Work

They say it just takes one, and they’re right. But what did that bearded guy say in one legendary game?

“It’s dangerous to go alone. Take this.”

For many people, streaming (especially for charity) is easier and more enjoyable with others, and we wanted to take a moment to recognize the teams that helped make Spooktacular the success it was!

Skyblock Kingdom's Costume Party

Skyblock Kingdoms SMP came up big this year! Altogether, the team raised over $25,000 for Spooktacular.

“We are incredibly grateful to Gamers Outreach, and our amazing community for helping us make so many children's days a bit brighter through the Halloween Spooktacular event,” they said to us in a statement. “We've made many fun memories and had many laughs and we are so proud of how the community came together to raise money for Gamers Outreach! We know these new GO Karts will make a difference and will be enjoyed by many. Thank you for including us!"

Beans for Charity's Twitch Stream

Beans For Charity raised over $1,700 for us and had the following to say:

“Having spent a long time in hospital as a teenager, getting together to support such a great cause was a particularly rewarding experience! I couldn't have done it alone, and I want to thank the Beans for joining me for this fun Spooktacular Streamathon! They made it such a colorful, fun-filled, and positive experience! It was especially wonderful to see everyone contribute in their own way to supporting Gamer Outreach's cause. I'm so proud of everyone and can only encourage others to get involved! You might be surprised by the impact you can make and the people you will meet!”

Spooktacular Creativity

Part of what makes Spooktacular so awesome is the creative contests we offer the community. This year, we saw a record number of entries in both the Spooktacular Art Battle and Costume Clash. Let’s take a look at some of the awesome entries!

Art Battle

Empress Maze submitted an amazing brick wall mural for her Dungeons & Dragons group. The blending done with the reds, oranges, and darker colors really makes this dragon look menacing, and it would look pretty mean on a GO Kart – in a good way!

Empress Maze's D&D brick art mural

Hurmly also submitted a piece of art sort of dedicated to D&D, but this was fully original and done on stream! From Ferd the Pumpkin to other fun-looking, spooktacularly designed characters, this is a great piece of art!

Costume Clash

This year's Costume Clash was extremely competitive. There were so many good options!

It started with our defending champion, AILIAZ crushing a watermelon in Chun-Li cosplay–mind you, the Street Fighter movie just came out, so points for relevancy!

Empan_ada as Handler Alma

Empress Maze also entered the Costume Clash with her take on Saint Celestine from Warhammer 40,000, and Empan_Ada went back into the Capcom well as Handler Alma from Monster Hunter Wilds!

Thanks to our friends at Corsair, both our winners will receive a Clipper Pro Mini 60 HE Keyboard and a Sabre V2 Pro Ultralight Mouse. It’s the least we can do to reward the effort and creativity!

Corsair prize packages for the winners of the Spooktacular Art Battle and Costume Clash

The winner of the Art Battle will also have the honor of having their winning mascot be on every donor card for every GO Kart donated using Spooktacular 2026 proceeds.

We'll announce winners this week and update the blog post once they're ready.

Staying Supportive

The spooky season and Spooktacular Streamathon may be over, but Gamers Outreach could always use your support. Whenever there’s a kid in the hospital longing for playtime, we wanna be there for them, and you can help do that. There’s no need for an event – though we will be having more soon that you can contribute to!  Here are different ways you can support Gamers Outreach, with or without a monetary donation.

Purchase the Horror Trifectas Humble Bundle!

We have another spooky-themed Humble Bundle to close out SS2026! Gamers who pay $5 will get Bendy and the Ink Machine, Bendy and the Dark Revival, True Fear: Forsaken Souls Part 1 & 2, DreadOut, DreadOut: Keepers of the Dark, The Coma: Recut, and The Coma: Recut 2. That’s six games from three renowned horror series to keep players on their toes!

Bump that $5 up to $10, and you’ll get eight more games, including FEAR: Ultimate Shooter Edition, FEAR 2: Project Origin and its DLC FEAR 2: Reborn, FEAR 3, The Coma 2B: Catacomb, True Fear: Forsaken Souls Part 3, DreadOut 2, and Bendy: Lone Wolf.

That’s 16 experiences, worth $240, for only $10. Each game comes as a redeemable Steam Code that expires on May 18, 2027, so be sure to use it soon!

A portion of the proceeds supports Gamers Outreach. What’s better than buying a bunch of games at an affordable price? Buying games knowing that it supports our mission of bringing them to kids in hospitals, of course! Get it today.

Consider Monthly Giving

By enrolling in our Monthly Giving program, The GRID, you’ll be able to donate a set amount each month knowing you’re supporting a good cause, but it doesn’t end there.

As a GRID member, you’ll receive the monthly GRID newsletter, which frequently puts you into a drawing for an awesome physical giveaway. It provides a chance at early access tickets for Gamers for Giving, our biggest event of the year. You also get access to GRID-exclusive channels on our Discord. And last, but certainly not least, being a GRID member gets you invited to quarterly calls with both the Gamers Outreach staff and special guests so you can definitely feel like a part of the foundation.

Our goal with Monthly Giving and the GRID is for the program to one day fund a GO Kart every month. Join today and help get us another step closer to making that a reality!

Be A Player 2

Player 2 is our Volunteer Program that pairs gamers with opportunities to give back at hospitals by maintaining recreational equipment, including the chance to play with young patients. What better way to bring enjoyment to a child patient than by playing a video game with them?

Follow Our Socials

The best way to stay involved, support, and contribute to Gamers Outreach is by sharing what we’re doing to everyone you know. Follow us on X, Facebook, Instagram, Bluesky, and more to stay in the know about what we’re doing!

We’re not done!

This year’s Spooktacular Streamathon was a blast, and we hope you had fun! But we still have two months left in the year, and plenty of time (and space) for activities! Here’s what we’ll be up to for the rest of the year!

TwitchCon - November 13-15 - San Diego, CA

TwitchCon is usually a big opportunity for us to meet the creators who have supported us this year and every year before that, so if you’ve never seen a GO Kart before – this is a great chance to do so!

Giving Tuesday - December 1, 2026 - Online

Giving Tuesday takes place every year on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. It’s a global day of generosity and an ideal time to support causes you care about, especially as the holiday season kicks off.
