Exciting news, Gamers Outreach community! Our founder, Zach Wigal, has been selected to join the Forbes 30 Under 30 class of 2017!
The 2017 Forbes 30 Under 30 is the most definitive gathering of today’s leading young change-makers and innovators in the U.S. Now in its sixth year, the 30 Under 30 offers an annual opportunity to embrace the optimism, inventiveness and boldness of youth. Forbes selects 30 game changers who are under 30 years of age in 20 industries — 600 in total — who are challenging the conventional wisdom and rewriting the rules for the next generation of entrepreneurs, entertainers, educators and more. 30 Under 30 awardees are a passionate and formidable bunch, and for good reason. Their goal is nothing short of breaking the status quo and transforming the world. You can read more about the award itself here.
Wigal, who founded Gamers Outreach in 2007, represents our cause as part of the 2017 gaming category.
On social media, Wigal had this to say:
“Grateful to be joining the Forbes 30 Under 30 class of 2017! This is an award to be shared among everyone on the Gamers Outreach team. I’m so proud of our volunteers who make everything we do a reality. I’m thankful for our board, and the people who’ve stepped in as mentors to help guide our efforts over the years. I hope this spreads awareness of our team’s work, and leads to making an even bigger difference for hospitalized kids and their families in 2017!”
As a team, we’re so proud to share this honor, and we’re thankful to Forbes for recognizing the work of our volunteers and donors who continue to help us make an impact in the lives of hospitalized children. To echo Zach’s words, we hope this serves as a platform for continued growth and impact in 2017!
Our deepest thanks to everyone who has been involved with the cause and supports our mission. Let’s help others level up!
