Gamers Outreach returns to the Halo World Championship

Events | October 6, 2025

Gamers Outreach is going to be in Seattle for the Halo World Championship for the third year in a row!

The Halo World Championship is the biggest Halo event of the year. Fans attend from around the world to witness electrifying plays, be a part of a thunderous crowd, and celebrate the Halo franchise and fandom like no other. From panels, to side tournaments, to cosplay, the Halo World Championship has something for everyone to enjoy, and we at Gamers Outreach just had to be a part of the fun.

No Halo, No GO

You’ve heard our founding story, right? Here’s the video.

Gamers Outreach was founded in Michigan after police shut down a Halo 2 tournament led by our founder, Zach Wigal. This set the precipice for creation of our marquee event, Gamers For Giving, which in turn resulted in Gamers Outreach’s eventual founding.

To have even a small part in the biggest Halo event of the year is a big deal for us. That game is responsible for our origin story. If Halo didn’t exist, who’s to say we would?

Our Booth Will Be The Place To Be

We’ve held booth activations before, but nothing we’ve done compares to what we’re about to do at the Halo World Championship.

As usual, attendees can visit our booth to speak with our staff or make a donation to the cause. In return for making at least a $15 donation, we’ll be giving away a Gamers Outreach pin. You probably know that already. But at the Halo World Championship, a $125 donation will get you a VERY Limited Edition Halo Infinite x Gamers Outreach windbreaker and more.

Produced by our friends at M.RAGE, the Limited Edition crossover windbreaker is a variation of their white WINDSTRIKER HYPER design. Originally designed as an all-terrain windbreaker for light, urban environments, the Halo Infinite x Gamers Outreach design will feature the Halo Infinite logo as well as a Halo Spartan in Gamers Outreach colors along the front separated by black zipper and snap accents. The sleeves are adorned with several features and emblems from the game, along with a QR code leading to our website. Finally, the back of the jacket features the same spartan, top flight detailing, the UNSC logo, and the Halo Infinite and Gamers Outreach crossover logo along the bottom. There will only be a single run of these and once we’re out, they’re gone.

Have FOMO yet? Every donation for a windbreaker will also receive five raffle tickets for a possibility to win a PC, sponsored by CLX and powered by AMD with the latest and greatest components! That’s not all. Even more Halo-themed prizes in addition to the PC will be given out in our raffle, so we hope you’re as excited as we are.

Our booth will also have key content creators in the Halo community streaming at designated stations, so be ready! The Halo World Championship will feature our biggest booth activation yet!

Giving Back At Seattle Children’s

A month ago, we were in Seattle for PAX West, but that wasn’t the only reason we were there.

We gave a visit to Seattle Children’s to take part in Teen Night. It was a great time being able to play games and hang out with the kids at the facility, but making it even more special was a guest we had with us. We had none other than Master Chief himself along for the ride.

Halo Franchise Ambassador Ron Brown, Master Chief, and Halo Studios Community Director Brian Jarrard take a picture with a Seattle Children’s patient.

Okay, he wasn’t the real Master Chief. The person behind the suit was Zeck Koa, a member of The 405th Infantry Division, a cosplay community for fans of Halo. Zeck stood at over six feet with one of the most impressive custom cosplay builds we’ve ever seen. He had Energy Sword too, so he may as well have been the real Chief. It was a delight seeing the kids impressed by his presence (even if they didn’t know him–most Halo games are M-Rated after all), but another thing that made the moment special was seeing even the hospital staff in awe.

“Oh wait ’till I show my husband,” one of the nurses said.

It wasn’t just Master Chief that came with us. A couple members of the Halo Studios staff also joined us at Seattle Children’s.

“It was a truly special experience to see first-hand the impact gaming, and Gamers Outreach has,” said Brian Jarrard, Community Director at Halo Studios.

It was an amazing visit that our staff, the Halo staff, and everybody at the hospital enjoyed. You can catch a sneak peek of our visit on Seattle Children’s Instagram page here.

Everything Is For The Kids

One quote and mantra the Halo community is more than aware of is “finish the fight.”

Whether it’s for the Halo World Championship or a hospital visit, everything we do is for the kids. Bringing video games and entertainment to children’s hospitals with our GO Kart and Save Point programs, in addition to more support with Player 2, is our way of finishing the fight.

We can’t do that without you, so thank you for your continued support!
