You can contribute to Christina’s GO Kart here
For the second year in a row, Gamers Outreach will be attending one of the largest smash tournaments in the country – The Big House 6! We’re honored to be the official charity partner of this incredible event, and we’re looking forward to an exciting weekend of competition among the players!
During last October’s tournament, the smash community helped raise enough money to deliver a GO Kart to Hurley Children’s Hospital of Flint, Michigan. This year, we’re working to raise money to construct a GO Kart in honor of Christina Grimmie.
Christina was a talented singer whose life was tragically taken June 10th of this year. On top of her rapidly growing singing career, Christina was an avid gamer, smash player, and partnered streamer with Twitch. In late 2015, Christina had expressed a desire to construct a GO Kart for her hometown hospital. With the support of The Big House 6, our hope is to fulfill her aspiration.
You can support our efforts by making a donation through The Big House compendium, located here. If you’re at the event, be sure to swing by the Gamers Outreach booth to meet with our staff and make a donation on site.
Our thanks go out to Robin “Juggleguy” Harn for inviting us to be a part. We’re thrilled to join the Smash community, and hope to deliver a GO Kart in honor of Christina!
Smashers – we’ll see you this weekend!
