Halo World Championship x Gamers Outreach Recap

General News | October 29, 2025

Gamers were in for a treat this past weekend at the Halo World Championship (HaloWC) in Seattle, and Gamers Outreach was proud to be a part of the spectacle.

Our team finding the rare time to pose for a photo while still having the crossover windbreaker in stock.

From the surprise announcement of Halo: Campaign Evolved to the hype surrounding Shopify Rebellion’s dominance in the grand final, it was an epic weekend! To go along with that, Gamers Outreach had quite the legendary booth setup.

A Heroic Cause

Gamers Outreach is all about helping others level up. We do that by bringing the power of play to children receiving medical care around the world. When we go to events like HaloWC, seeing attendees’ eyes light up when we talk about bringing video games to hospitals is always a big highlight. There was absolutely no shortage of that this weekend, especially with everything we had going on at our booth.

None of which was more important than the GO Karts. Each equipped with an Xbox Series X with Halo Infinite installed, there was no better way to showcase the heartwarming power of play than the actual carts that bring a sense of normalcy to kids worldwide.

GO Karts are always the key component to our information event booths. Not too many people see them in person, and the people that have usually have a great story to tell, and we absolutely love hearing these stories.

Spartans Gear Up

During this year’s HaloWC, the main highlight to those visiting the booth was our limited edition, Halo Infinite crossover windbreaker we made available to donating attendees. As we mentioned in our last HaloWC announcement blog, this white, limited-edition windbreaker was adorned with Halo art and references, including a spartan in Gamers Outreach colors. Only 350 windbreakers were produced, and they went faster than you can flip an overturned Warthog. We ran out of every size before noon on Day 2!

It was great seeing so many attendees geared up with our windbreakers all weekend.

The happiness our grand prize winner displayed was simply a vibe.

Not to be outdone, we also had a raffle featuring all sorts of awesome Halo-themed prizes, but none as eye-popping as our one-of-a-kind Halo Infinite x Gamers Outreach PC. Done by CLX and featuring the latest AMD components, the Halo Infinite x Gamers Outreach PC was a thing of beauty. Congratulations to “Goalie Sniper” from Winnipeg, Canada who ended up being our lucky raffle winner!

FUNraising

HaloWC just happened to take place at the same time as Spooktacular Streamathon, and thanks to a handful of on-site creators, we were able to significantly boost the event’s totals.

We’d like to give a huge thank you to Shyway, TheRedGear, Oathxx, Reclaimer, RealLifeSpartan, CarsonLoots, CardinalRedbird, OmnicientWolf, JunkShip, JimTasty, and Eli_X. Every single one of these talented creators streamed on-site during HaloWC. From beard-painting to Beanboozled moments, it was a great time! Their efforts amounted to a total of $14,914, which we’ll add to Spooktactular’s 2025 fundraising total.

Gamers Outreach 🧡 Halo

Gamers Outreach has been attending the Halo World Championship for over three years now and we’re beyond grateful for the love and support from the whole crew at Halo Studios and Xbox.

The roots of our foundation took shape because of a Halo 2 tournament our founder, Zach Wigal, tried to host in 2007. To have even a small part in the biggest Halo event of the year is a big deal not only for us, but for millions of kids around the world.

The video above played during this year’s event, and it was surreal hearing the reaction from the crowd. It was an absolute pleasure to go to Seattle Chidlren’s alongside members of Halo Studios. What’s more surreal is that this year, as a whole, we were able to fundraise a whopping $67,212. That brings our total over the last three years to $106,092.

Thank you to Halo Studios and Xbox for making sure we have a spot at HaloWC every year, the on-site creators for taking their talents online to fundraise for us, our hardworking staff who continuously represent the best of our vision, and last but not least, thank you to all our supporters who have donated, shared, or talked about Gamers Outreach in any sort of way.

It’s been an amazing three years, and we look forward to going even bigger at Halo Fest next year!

One More Event!

Have you not visited a Gamers Outreach booth in-person this year yet? There will be one more opportunity right before the holidays.

This December, we’ll be at Holiday Matsuri, the largest anime convention in Florida. If you’ve never been, Holiday Matsuri is unlike any other anime convention. Holiday Matsuri is festively themed, so if you’re a fan of anime or the holidays, you’ll love “HolMat.”

Last year, we saw Sephiroth and Pikachu donning Santa hats and even a gingerbread Pyramid Head! There’s no telling what kind of yuletide otaku fun you’ll run into at HolMat, so we hope to see there!

Offline Support

Maybe the events we’re at aren’t close to you. Or perhaps conventions and in-person events aren’t your speed. It’s all good. There’s a multitude of ways to support Gamers Outreach without leaving your home!

Monthly Giving

Monthly Giving is one of the best ways to support Gamers Outreach. Members of our Monthly Giving program, The GRID, support our programs and everything between while enjoying a closer relationship with the foundation.

For as little as $10 a month, you can enjoy exclusive perks like invitations to our quarterly calls (we have a big one next month), early access to tickets for Gamers For Giving, and more! We hope to one day have our Monthly Giving program be able to fully fund one GO Kart a month. Your help would bring closer to that goal, so we hope monthly giving is something you consider.

Other ways to support

Check out ways you can help on our mission of providing both recreational and therapeutic experiences for hospitalized families. You can also check out and follow our social pages on Facebook, X, Instagram, Bluesky, YouTube, or join our Discord server!

Remember, Gamers Outreach is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, which means donations to our foundation are tax-deductible! If you or your company are looking to make a charitable donation in time for the holidays, we’re here to help.
