We just got back from PAX West 2025, and it was definitely a fruitful weekend for Gamers Outreach!
Taking place during Labor Day weekend every year, PAX West is the largest video game convention in the west coast. From Friday, August 29 to Monday, September 1, attendees went to PAX West to play upcoming games, meet with industry talent, attend panels featuring celebrity guests, content creators, and to be present for exciting announcements.

For the second consecutive year, we joined in on the PAX fun, providing a welcome atmosphere to visitors of our booth. Thanks to the generosity and donations from this year’s attendees, we fundraised enough for another GO Kart which should be rolling along at a Seattle-area hospital soon!
GO Karts set the vibes
Speaking of GO Karts, we had two on display ready to play!
One of them featured was our co-branded Child’s Play GO Kart. Attendees got a look at the GO Karts that’ll be delivered as a result our partnership. Child’s Play Charity was established by PAX’s creators, so we figured there was no better place to debut them than at PAX West!
It just so happened that Sega’s Open Network Test for their highly anticipated Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds game was happening during the event, so we had that downloaded on the Child’s Play GO Kart for gamers looking to get their hands on it. It was a hit, but that’s Sonic for you. Gotta go fast!

We also had Hazelight and EA Originals’ Split Fiction available to play on the couch. For those unaware, Split Fiction is a co-op adventure from the team the made It Takes Two. Like It Takes Two, it can only be played with two people, and it’s another contender for Game of the Year. This ended up being a hit for attendees who heard about it but never got a chance to play. We even were able to get a few sessions in with attendees visiting from Seattle Children’s Hospital!
PAX West is all about the games, and it was a good time all around.
People at PAX <3 Pins
Like we did at Evo, we brought our light-up booth that tells stories of our various programs and how we support children and children’s hospitals. This time, though, we didn’t have a raffle. Instead, for every donation to Gamers Outreach over $15, we provided one of our new enamel pins.

The pin set features a GO Kart, a Save Point machine, our “Helping Others Level Up” slogan in a certain intergalactic type face, and the Gamers Outreach logo. A $50 donation got attendees the entire set.
The pins are great, and we get it. Not everybody can come to PAX West, but luckily for you, this wasn’t our final stop!
The GO Tour Continues This Fall!
While we’re done with summer events, we’ll be back in the west coast in less than six weeks!
From October 17-19, we’ll be at TwitchCon. We know a lot of our content creator and V-Tuber friends will be there, and we can’t wait to see you at our informational booth!
We’ll also be headed back to Seattle for the Halo Championship Series (or HCS, also often referred to as “Halo Worlds”) on October 24-26.
Right before PAX West, we actually did a visit with Seattle Children’s Hospital with Master Chief himself! We can’t let the cat out of the bag yet, but this visit was part of something bigger that we’ll be doing at HCS, so we hope you’re excited!
For those of you in the east coast, we didn’t forget about you. We’ll once again be at Holiday Matsuri in Orlando, FL from December 19-21.
You can still support us offline
Maybe conventions and in-person events aren’t your thing. That’s okay. There are plenty of ways to support Gamers Outreach without leaving the comfort of your own home.
Consider Monthly Giving
One of the best ways to support us is by becoming a part of Monthly Giving. Our monthly donors support our programs and everything in between, while enjoying a more personal relationship with our foundation.

Those enrolled giving at least $10 a month get exclusive perks like invitations to quarterly calls with the Gamers Outreach to hear and talk about all the latest happenings with the foundation, early access to tickets for Gamers For Giving, and other benefits.
