A GO Kart was delivered to kids within Cincinnati Children’s Hospital & Medical Center thanks to a donation made by former professional gamer, Michael “StrongSide” Cavanaugh!

Last fall, Michael sold a Halo themed Ford Raptor, which was acquired through a video game tournament hosted by Microsoft and Virgin Gaming. Always one to give back, Michael donated a portion of funds from the truck’s sale to support the delivery of a GO Kart and video games to his hometown hospital.

We had the chance to visit Cincinnati Children’s and speak with the hospital’s staff. Video games are an important tool used by nurses and child life specialists. Often times, games act as an incredible source of diverse activities for children who need activities during long stays. During our visit, Michael had the chance to talk to a few gamers in the hospital, and share stories of his former career as a professional gamer.

Huge props go out to Michael for giving back to our fellow gamers at Cincinnati Children’s. His cart will be helping kids going through treatment for years to come!
