Awesome news for our streamer friends: we’ve just integrated TwitchAlerts into the Gamers Outreach fundraising platform!

What does that mean exactly? In short, it’s now possible for notifications to appear on your broadcast whenever someone donates to your fundraising campaign!

Assuming you have a TwitchAlerts account and are familiar with the service, connecting the two platforms is relatively simple. Here’s how it works…

Step One: First, you’ll need to set up a Gamers Outreach fundraising campaign. You can create either a general fundraiser, or specifically raise funds to build a GO Kart. If you’ve already got an active campaign and an account on our website, skip to step 2.

Step Two: Navigate to your account page by selecting “Account” from the Fundraise drop down menu, located at the top of our website (you must be logged in for “Account” to be visible). Once there, click “TwitchAlerts” on the left side of the page.

Step Three: Click the “Connect to TwitchAlerts” button and authorize Gamers Outreach to view/add donations to your TwitchAlerts account.

That’s it! Your fundraising campaigns are now connected to TwitchAlerts!

Please note: in order for donations to be collected by Gamers Outreach and count towards your campaign, supporters must make their donation through your public fundraising page on the Gamers Outreach website! Make sure you’re directing donors to your public fundraising page!

As donations come through, you’ll be able to see contributions from your supporters on the back-end of TwitchAlerts, as well as on your Gamers Outreach fundraising page! Donors will also be able to leave comments for on-stream notifications.

If you ever decide to power up your stream for Gamers Outreach, be sure to let us know on Twitter so we can help promote your efforts! You can also download our latest artwork / logo assets to decorate your stream, and let viewers know you’re fundraising for Gamers Outreach.

This is still an early version of the tool, so please let us know if you have any suggestions, or notice any strange bugs.

That’s all for now! Happy fundraising folks! GL HF!
