This year’s VTuber Summer Slam (VSS) has finally come to a close. Even though we’ve been at it for 10 days, it still feels like we just got started yesterday!
VSS is the biggest fundraiser we do every summer and one of our favorite events of the year. The VTuber community is one we’ve enjoyed special moments with, and it’s great to see everybody come together for our cause.
In addition to the VTubers, it’s you, the Gamers Outreach community, that really inspires us. Thanks to you, our journey to bring the joy of entertainment to more children in more hospitals around the world continues!
Let’s take a look at your impact!
Teamwork Makes The Dream Work
Seeing VTubers and creators in our community come together to fundraise for our cause never gets old. In addition to kids having undue stress when in a hospital environment, people around the world are also going through trying times. Seeing our community come together in a positive way, raising both funds and spirits, is what Gamers Outreach is all about.

Thanks to everybody’s outstanding effort and contributions, this year, we collectively raised $435,000+!
The community coming together to raise at least $43,500 a day throughout the fundraising period is something we all should be proud of. It just goes to show how powerful and important the Gamers Outreach mission is.
Our goal at Gamers Outreach has always been to make video games a normal part of hospital life. It’s common knowledge that playing video games helps people unwind and de-stress. So why should people be surprised when they see an XBOX, PlayStation, or Switch at a hospital for everyone to play? Our community is key to making this a hospital standard, and we can’t thank you enough for it.
Support
So exactly how many people streamed during VSS? According to our Director of Peer-to-Peer fundraising, 1,110 campaigns were made this year!
And that’s just the number of VTubers, gamers, and creators who streamed for us.
That doesn’t include everybody who donated to the streamers or directly to Gamers Outreach. That number doesn’t include the people who watched their favorite creator streaming during VSS. It doesn’t include the raids. It doesn’t include people playing on someone else’s stream. It definitely doesn’t include those of you who shared any #VTuberSS2026 content, or talked about the event with friends or family.
There are so many variables that 1,110 doesn’t account for, and we want to make sure you all get the love and acknowledgment you deserve.

We can’t say it enough. This blog is really all for you. Thank you. Knowing our community comes in with four figures with the strength and positivity that you bring? It means everything.
Our Favorite Moments
During VSS, our marketing and social teams are online pretty much all day and all night across four different time zones. We put in these hours and effort because we simply don’t want to miss the opportunity to engage and share all the incredible moments that happen during VSS streams.

It’s always fun seeing creators and VTubers alike share their takes on our mission!
This year, over 40 unique clips were posted on our socials from participants’ streams. The quality of these clips was top-notch. The screencap above is an example of a funny and engaging way to explain how we use donations. We even saw someone give the national weather forecast, a lot of karaoke, including Toad singing “Peaches!”
Even with all the coverage we have, we couldn’t capture everything, but our recap video at the top of this blog features many nice moments. This year, we really enjoyed the variety outside Beanboozled and the fun of falling down in Peak. Please give it a watch!
Art Contest
Of course, it’s not all about streaming. Every year, we host the VSS Art Contest. The winner, as voted on by our team, has their art featured on the donor card for every GO Kart fundraised by VSS.

The beautiful art in this year’s VSS this year’s VSS Art Contest.
We’re still deciding on the winners, but we wanted to recognize all our participants in the graphic above. All the submissions look great, and you’re going to make it difficult for us to choose!
Sponsors
Our tagline is “helping others level up,” and in addition to our community, our sponsors do a lot to help our foundation level up!

Our amazing VSS sponsors!
We were lucky enough to have Shure, Bisect Hosting, VTube Studio, and Tokyo Treat as valuable partners for all things VSS this year. Thank you to our sponsors for helping make VSS 2026 another big one!
VSS Swag Still Available!

Refresh your wardrobe with these VTuber Summer Slam apparel pieces!
We won’t be taking down the VSS merch for a couple of weeks, so it’s not too late to grab some VSS gear!
There’s even a hoodie there when it starts to get cold, so look good repping VSS now, or maybe put them away for next year! All proceeds from our VSS merch contribute to our event total, supporting Gamers Outreach.
Join Monthly Giving
Did you have so much fun with VSS that you want to give more? Maybe you missed out, but wanted to make sure you did your part FOR THE KIDS? That’s where Monthly Giving comes in.
By joining our Monthly Giving program, The GRID, you’ll support our programs and everything in between. Not only that, but your GRID membership also gives you a more personal relationship with the foundation and various perks.

Being a part of The GRID supports our cause in so many ways behind the scenes.
Membership includes an exclusive monthly email newsletter and a chance to win physical giveaways. This month, we’ll be giving away a Victrix PRO FS fight stick to one lucky GRID member. It could be you! This is also your last chance to join Monthly Giving and enjoy early access to the Gamers For Giving 2027 LAN Party, which we’ll be implementing stricter rules for next year.
We’re going to Offkai Expo!
Lastly, we wanted to mention that Gamers Outreach will be on the road and could be headed to an event near you!
We actually just wrapped up exhibiting at Evo in Las Vegas, but the VTuber community might be excited to know we’ll actually be at Offkai Expo in San Jose next month!
For those new to the scene, Offkai Expo is North America’s largest VTuber convention. Founded in 2022, this non-profit, volunteer-run event celebrates the digital performing arts, technology, and the communities surrounding the VTuber community.
We won’t have our informational booth on-site, but we will be participating in a panel hosted by Angora and Neba! The panel will focus on using the VTuber platform for good causes, so you’ll get to hear from other outstanding community members and from us in the space. At Offkai, and don’t have time for the panel? A trio of us from the GO team will be walking the expo floor, meeting other VTubers and community members who just wanna talk! We also plan to have a GO Kart there in person for those who haven’t seen one.
We know Offkai is huge for VTubers, so we hope to meet and catch up with all of you who decide to go!
Other Events Along The Horizon
In addition to Offkai Expo, we’ll be at PAX West in Seattle during Labor Day weekend. For the first time since we’ve had our booth at PAX, we’ll also be participating in Pinny Arcade! We can’t let the cat out of the bag about what kind of pin we have yet. Just know it’s going to be LEGENDARY!

A cosplaying duo enjoying some gaming at Evo 2026. It’s always fun seeing families enjoy our GO Karts at in-person events!
Maybe you can’t be on the West Coast, or anywhere, for these in-person events. Our next online fundraising event will be Spooktacular Streamathon, and we’re already excited about it!
Again, we can’t thank you all enough for everybody’s help during VTuber Summer Slam. More children and more families around the world will smile because of you. It’s been a long 10 days, so we hope you all get the rest you deserve!
Until next time!
