IGN’s very own Matt Porter posted an article today with a few special announcements regarding the upcoming BATTLEGROUNDS Charity Invitational.

The game, which has only been out for a month and a half, has already sold 2 million copies. In celebration of their success, Bluehole Inc. (the game’s developer) will be matching up to $100,000 in donations in support of Gamers Outreach programs!

This is absolutely massive for Gamers Outreach and those supported by our efforts!! To date, this is the largest matching commitment a donor has ever made on behalf of our cause. We’re so, so, SO thankful to the Bluehole team, and all the streamers participating in this week’s event!

IGN also touched on the array of Twitch livestreams that will be live on Thursday, May 4th from 9 AM – 5 PM PST. As noted in the article, you can check out the BATTLEGROUNDS Twitter feed for all the news related to participating streamers. Additional streamers will be announced heading into Thursday.

If you’d like to help us unlock this $100K match, head over to PLAYERUNKNOWN’S fundraising campaign and make a donation here.

Massive thanks to Bluehole for being so generous and rallying their community behind this effort. We can’t wait for Thursday! Keep your eyes on our Twitter, Facebook, and IG for more info as the event draws closer.
