VTuber Summer Slam is a virtual fundraising marathon taking place June 26 – 30, 2024.
Across five days, VTubers join us from far and wide in support of Gamers Outreach and our mission to bring video games into hospitals for kids everywhere.☀️🐚🏖️
The impact
Our team at Gamers Outreach works to restore a sense of joy and normalcy in the lives of hospitalized children. We believe the world is better when kids can play, and gamers have the power to help.
Video games are our tool of choice, with GO Karts making play accessible at scale.
Earlier this year we made it our 2024 mission to fulfill all the 600+ outstanding requests by 200+ hospitals on our wishlist. These are hospitals that have actively requested GO Kart units, but are waiting for donors to step forward and provide funds necessary to begin construction!
The existing global fleet of GO Karts currently stands at 1900+. We estimate that these enable up to 5.5 million play experiences annually. Should we achieve our goal of deploying 600+ GO Karts by the end of 2024, we will unlock: an additional 1.7+ million potential gaming experiences, but also important tools for caregivers to improve their patients’ experiences.

This year’s goal
This year we’re aiming to fund 150 new GO Karts during VTuber Summer Slam. With the first stop on our quest set at $175,000 USD, funding 50 GO Karts for hospitals on our wishlist.
Every GO Kart funded unlocks the joy of play for kids and families receiving care. If we reach our 150 goal, we’ll be enabling play to the tune of an estimated 400,000+ experiences annually.

We’re once again hosting an art contest for the 2024 VTuber Summer Slam donor cards that will be placed on all GO Karts funded during this year’s event.

Pre-event activities
Kicking off this year’s festivities (Friday, June 21 – Sunday, June 23), check out the VFur Team on Twitch as many of their members are participating in a pre-VSS fundraising event. They’re going live with games, challenges, and more in what is guaranteed to be a fantastically fun time.
