The time for trick-or-treating may be over, but this year’s Spooktacular Streamathon was all about the treating. Everybody that took part in the spectacle made it a scary success in so many ways, and we couldn’t be more proud as we wrap it all up.
THAAAANKKKKK YOOOOUUUUUU 👻
First off, we wanted to extend our gratitude to the hundreds of creators and their communities for their generous support for the event. The dedication to their craft of entertaining their viewers and followers is always a heartwarming experience, and it makes these events that much more enjoyable to be a part of. Look no further than the video above to see the scares, the laughs, and the wholesome vibes Spooktacular provides!
Hopping into streams and chatting with creators and their viewers is one of the funnest things we do during Spooktacular, and featuring some of their highlights on our socials adds to the enjoyment. We featured over 40 creator clips on our social channels this month, which helped generate over 16,000 engagements with our community. It’s the effort you take and make with your content that makes Spooktacular what it is, and we can’t be any more appreciative of the community.
Like the little green men say in that movie about toys and their stories, “We are eternally grateful!” 👽
Achievement Unlocked!
This year’s Spooktacular Streamathon raised a wicked $402,182!
This extraordinary accomplishment helped fully brew 68 GO Kart and 4 Save Point Machines for our Wishlist Hospitals, while also enabling Gamers Outreach to maintain existing GO Karts and keep Save Point machines full of more fun treats.
Impact That Is Anything But Spooky
Just one GO Kart sees an estimated 2,900 play sessions every year.
Thanks to the contributions made during Spooktacular, an estimated 197,000 annual play experiences will be unlocked once all these new GO Karts are placed.
It’s not just about the numbers, it’s about bringing fun to everyone, and this is the impact Gamers Outreach hopes to continue to make.
Spooktacular Honors
Part of what makes the Spooktacular Streamathon fun are the incentives we offer our creators who go the extra mile in bringing the spirit of Halloween to their communities in the form of a couple contests we have during the events.
Art Battle
Spooktacular brings in a lot of talented artists, and what better way to showcase their best talent than battling it out in an art contest? Participants of the SS2024 Art Battle competed for the opportunity to have their art featured on the donor cards of each GO Kart fulfilled through the event in addition to ghoulish gaming gear from our sponsors! Above, we have just some of the awesome art our participants have submitted, so the competition is definitely scary!
Costume Clash
Of course, the Spooktacular Streamathon is a Halloween-themed event, and it wouldn’t be Halloween without costumes! We acknowledge and understand that not everybody has the ability to buy or create a physical costume, so we also allow participants to digitally design costumes for submission too!
And the winners are…
@ShanChan took first place in the Art Battle with this cute creature, while @Beckachuu won the Costume Clash with this bewitching Scarlett Witch / Wanda Maximoff cosplay! Congratulations!
Sponsors
We’d be remiss to not also give one more special shoutout to our sponsors who helped make this year’s Spooktacular Streamathon as big as it was and will continue to be.
Thank you to Cooler Master, Bisect Hosting, Lenovo Legion, Hyper X, and Seattle Built PCs for continuing to support our mission in helping us make a difference in the lives of so many children and their families! In addition to sponsoring Spooktacular, we’d like to thank our sponsors for providing gear for the awesome prizes in our contests as well as stream teams that sprinkled in even more kind donations to help a bunch of our participants reach their goals.
We also want to show some love to 4D Gaming, whose Limited Edition 4D X Gamers Outreach Mousepad release during Spooktacular will also fund the GO Kart fleet.
Press ‘S’ To Support! ❤️
Did you miss out on this year’s Spooktacular Streamathon? Have no fear, we’re still here. There are many ways to help support our mission of bringing smiles to children and their loved ones all around the world! Here are just some ways to help:
Grab Spooktacular Merch!
Halloween may be over, but we still have some sizes of our Spooktacular merch available! Stay spooktacularly warm in a Limited Edition hoodie, or maybe even rock it next year!
Join The GRID
Want to continuously make a difference and help Gamers Outreach on its mission outside of just Spooktacular? That’s why The GRID exists. By becoming a member and making a monthly donation, you’ll have the ability to witness the impact of your support over time. The GRID is also evolving in rewarding its members, so join now and be a part of this program’s exciting growth! Our next GRID call is coming in early December, so stay tuned!
Be A Player 2
Player 2 is a volunteer initiative that pairs gamers with opportunities to give back at hospitals by playing with young patients. What better way to bring enjoyment to a child in the hospital than playing a video game with them?
